Nomansland Common Local Event Results 02/02/02Saturday Series - Special Programme for New Orienteers. Organiser's and Planner's CommentsYou don't often get a new orienteering area in the South East of England, so this was a rare event. Nomansland Common may be small but many people were surprised at how nice the woods were to run through. Everyone we talked to seemed to have had a good time out there. Apologies for those who had to wait for a map, or ended up with a hand-drawn one. We didn't expect quite so many people. Thanks to the many HH helpers who filled in doing various tasks (including child minding!) and made life easy for the two of us on the day. Results from this event and further information about orienteering can be found on the HH web site at www.happyherts.org.uk. Future HH events with courses suitable for beginners are shown below. For people who want something slightly more adventurous than today's event then the Millwards Park (Hatfield Park) Colour Coded will offer a greater range of courses (from about 1.5km up to 9km), suitable for all abilities. Please note that the Millwards Park event mentioned above has been cancelled since these results were published. | |
