Editorial

How nice to be able to choose which events to go to again, not restricted, as we were earlier in the year, to the streets or attending perhaps the only event in the country on a particular weekend. However, former editor Clive Street was not alone in wishing he had been a little more selective and not attended the National Event at Macclesfield Forest in September: "I thought it was horrible ... so don't expect a write up for Pacemaker from me, unless you fancy a sub-Stephen King-style horror story." Alison was a lot less scathing, but as she won day two, she probably views the event in a much rosier light. Another feature of the autumn is that some of the postponed events have been held, including the National Event at the fabulous Newborough Forest (you can tell I had a decent run) which was also designated as the British Champs for 2001. See the report on pages 20 - 21.

I have some articles that have not made it into this issue waiting in the wings, but copy is always welcome. The next Pacemaker will appear in mid-January with a copy date of 05/01/2002.
