Mardley Heath

A small but very intricate area adjacent to the A1, north of Welwyn. The detailed contours result from disused clay workings; the map is at 1:7500 to cope. The one drawback is the covering of brambles, ranging from mildly irritating to carnivorous, forces path running. It can still catch the unwary, even the experienced unwary.
